Having a thread closed

Hi-- I'm new here and had posted a thread. It was closed after a couple of days. I notice that many threads are open for years. I was wondering why it was closed. Did I do something? --Thanks

Hi, Pat.

You did nothing wrong. Sometimes, a thread starts getting off course.
And members begin bickering about something other than what the original poster, (you), had in mind. That's what happened to your post. So, Carol, the mod of the forum, closed the thread.
Here was Carol's last post, explaining why she closed it:
Quote:
The Topic is over and done.
I'll close this and do start another
on a different subject.

Thanks ..
So, no, you did nothing wrong. I hope you got your question answered. The post got lots of good answers, for sure.
And I agree that only you can aswer the question.
Keep going to open meetings. You'll discover for yourself, in time, if you need or want closed meetings too.

Shalom!

sorry Pat - I was in that thread - it was never my intention for it to go permanently off course, and certainly not to be closed.....but things like that happen, particularly in that forum

as History Teach said, you did nothing wrong

Hi Dee,

No apology needed---I figured I had done something. I appreciated your thoughtful posts and am grateful you took the time to read and reply. I am amazed by the care and concern of so many people here on SR who continually listen and help others.

Thank you so much -- Pat
