Help Popeye has his first post composed as a new thread in f&f substance. It will NOT post! It keeps kicking him back to register which he has done, if we re-register it says there is all ready a popeye. I have left the post open in another internet window. Can someone help us get this post to go through? Please.

okay, I went in under my name...tried a test post, it went through easily. So I had printed his post, typed it in for him under my username but identified it as his post and it threw me back to the beginning of the registration process. That has never happened to me before! How can I/we get this post on the boards? Should I re-type it and mail it to an administrator? If I leave it up on the screen and take a frustrated nap, can it be accessed and put through? What in sam hill is going on?

I just checked and the Popeye user name is registered just fine, so there is no problem on this end. You can also try clicking the Remember Me box, beside the log in. Sometimes that helps.

It sounds like you are being redirected to the registration page because you are hitting an error page. Maybe you were logged out or timed out before you posted. Guests who try to post are redirected to the registration page so I think that's what happened. If you write the post on a word document and then log in and paste it in you probably won't get timed out. Checking the remember me box also helps to keep you logged in.

Whew! I just typed it again under my name and posted it in newcomer's. And asked that it be moved. Thanks so very much. I got so frustrated because this was his first time at SR. I love this man and he needs the very unique wisdom and community of SR. Pass the valium (just kidding). He couldn't see it but he was headed to the hospital, his mental and physical health has been so damaged. And that wouldn't work because he has bad PTSD and his greatest fear is being locked up. Saw a p-doc at the VA last week and he was not much help at all. So this was urgent to me and thanks just aren't enough! oh, I don't have word..but I did save it in a works file...does that work too?

Yes that works. I can personally verify that PTSD and a son with addictions if very difficult. I'm glad he is here for support.
