How do I request to be someone's friend?

I finally figured out how to add friends to my list (when they sent me the friendship request) but want to know how to request to be on their friend list. At the bottom of the friend page it says to request friendship from someone to put their name in the box and click "add friend". I've done this when I've rec'd a friendship request, and thought I was just adding them. But how do I request to be their friend??

duh...

That function is turned off for admins and moderators so I can't remember.

Someone should be along who can let you know.

I think that if you accept a friendship request, they automatically get you as a friend. go to their profile and see if you are on their lists. You can practice with me if you like, and I can delete you after we run a test (unless you want to keep me!)
