The site owners fixed it all for us today so I can't take credit. I am just so happy it's working again. Thank you all for your patience.

If you are a first time chat user, you will need to register for chat one time only. To register click on the chat link at the top of the forum. It will open up the chat window. Clear your name from the user window; Click on the blue "register" button and complete the registration. You can use the same name and password you have for the forums and you must be registered on the forums first in order to use chat. The Chat system is a separate system from the Message board, which is why it requires a separate registration. If you are not seeing the log in page or see a box with a little red x, you will need to download Java. Download Java Here Manual Download

it loads for me, but the window has a white background, nothing else, no user names, no cursor, nothing. my user name is on the left, in black, and it says user not verified or something but it doesn't have anywhere for me to register.

If you can't open the chat window this may help. In rare circumstances, you may need to clear your browser's cache to resolve a connection issue, or to ensure that you're seeing the latest update to a web site. If clearing your browser's cache does not resolve your problem, rebooting your computer is often recommended. To empty your browser's cache using Windows Internet Explorer version 7 Click on Tools (or the Tools icon) from the Command Bar Select Delete Browsing History... Click the Delete files... button near Temporary Internet Files Click Yes when prompted to delete temporary Internet Explorer files Click the Close button Shutdown all open instances of your web browser and restart To empty your browser's cache using Firefox version 2 Click on Tools from your browser's main menu Select Clear Private Data... Ensure that Cache is checked Click the Clear Private Data Now button Shutdown all open instances of your web browser and restart To empty your browser's cache using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 Click on Tools from your browser's main menu. Select Internet Options Under the General tab, click Delete Files... in the Temporary Internet files section. Important: Shutdown all open instances of your web browser. To empty your browser's cache using Firefox version 1.5 Click on Tools from your browser's main menu. Select Options Select the Privacy icon Select Cache tab. Click the Clear Cache Now button Important: Shutdown all open instances of your web browser. To empty your browser's cache using Safari Click on Safari from the main menu. Click Empty Cache... Important: Shutdown all open instances of your web browser. To empty your browser's cache using Opera Click on Tools from your browser's main menu. Select Delete private data... Click the Delete button Important: Shutdown all open instances of your web browser. To empty your browser's cache using Netscape Click on Edit from your browser's main menu. Select Preferences Select and expand the Advanced category. Click on Cache Under Set Cache Options: Click Clear Memory Cache Click Clear Disk Cache Click OK Important: Shutdown all open instances of your web browser.

OK I cleared my cache and it brought to me another page but when I clicked on create new user account (as it doesn't yet recognize my name and password) another window opened with this error message: Feature disabled. Remote Authentication System is in use. I will keep working on it - thanks MG

It seems it is automatic now and you don't have to register the first time you use it. It should recognize your user name. I just tried it with a new user and it let me in with the same user name and password I use here. It just won't let me type yet, but they are working on it. Anyone logging in should use the same information they use to log in on the forum. The old chat passwords no longer work.
