Log-in message

I'm getting a startling message when I log in. It says;

"You have refused to accept the forum rules. Hit the back button to accept the forum rules, or click here to go to forums"

When I click back button, I get a thank you for logging in message, and then it repeats this message again. If I click "click here", it takes me to forums normally.

Is this a supposed to be like this? Does it mean I've done something wrong? Should I ignore it???

How have I erred?!?! Let me repent!!!

Hi Sav,

I don't know what that's about!

One thing I suggest is to log out, then log in. And Click the Remember Me box beside the login. Sometimes that makes a difference.

Okay, I cleaned cookies (trying to figure out the rest!).

What happens now is when I first goto this website, I get the message (It's; "You have refused to accept the forum rules, so registration cannot continue")
I log in normally, get the welcome screen, and the message is tacked into the middle of the welcome screen. When I go to forums or mail, it disappears. It's not affecting anything, it's just...strange.

I suppose I can live with it. But it is like I've got a fairly angry old testament deity making frowning, disapproving comments on my general being when I log in!!!

How can I appease this angry God!?!?

*sigh* Ah well, I guess I'll try some false idols or sacrifices. Should I dedicate them to 51anna? She is the forum leader!

Are you on WebTV, or Mac, or something other than a PC? That sounds really odd. It's not a god thing. Trust me. Burnt offerings just make a mess, too.

Are you using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari...? Help us out.

If you're using WebTV, or PCTV, your problem would make sense, and there's probably no fix, besides upgrading the box.

Also...if you have saved a bookmark for this site, make sure it's set to http:www.soberrecovery.com/forums -- not the registration page. If the registration link is bookmarked, you'll be staring at that screen every time.

I feel like an idiot... that's probably it. I probably mapped the site when I first came in, and that's why I keep getting the message. I'll check it out.

Thanks, and I get my cats to clean up the "burnt offering" mess. It's great, I've got little kitty sized brooms and smocks, and I got the Alpha male a pair of dark sunglasses and a little kitty sized switch and sheriff's badge to keep the others in order!
But the Alpha female stole all three from him...and I don't even want to MENTION what she's getting up to with them!
