Two things... It is a rule SR has and it is a Respect for others we all should have. If you want to go in there by "mistake"... that is your choice but you will need deal with what ever boundaries get put in place.

I don't think anyone wants to go in on purpose but it does happen. I think if it was coded it would prevent it.

I haven't looked at every plug-in available, but I haven't seen one yet that automatically puts someone in a user group based on information entered at registration. It would have to be done manually by the mods or admins by offering public joinable groups with set permissions. I don't think we have a big enough problem to take it to that level yet and it would cause us a lot of extra work. I understand that it's easy to make a mistake when going through the "new posts" function or entering through RSS feed. It even happens with the mods from time to time. We've only had a handful of posts that were purposely posted in the wrong forum so I think we can leave it as it is for now.
