Hola all! So it's chest day in the basement gym for me. That's barbell bench press, dumbbell inclines/declines, and then three sets of push ups. I'll return later to make some 90 day goals. Take care all!

Ok I'm based in the UK and do a diet called Slimming World and have lost 16.5 pounds since January. I do try and run 4-5 times a week. My goal is to lose another 6 pounds by the end of July. Its coming off slowly with me but as long as the weight is coming off I don't mind. I only have another 15 pounds until target. 90days I would like to meet that target

Thanks for the new thread! Let's see, I don't think I have a real goal. Maybe that's the problem! Today I did some work on the weight machines at the gym & then attempted one of my new workout videos when I got home. I definitely need to do that more often!

Welcome Susiegirl.

No clearly defined goal for me either Purplrks. I've just been on auto pilot.....not necessarily a bad thing, but with the new road to fall I may need to rethink it.

My immediate goal may need to build an ark. Good heavens at the rain! Oh well, time to head for the gym.

Happy Wednesday all.

Susie, congrats on your progress toward your weight loss goal.

I rarely set hard goals anymore other than striving to be consistently true to the process. When I do that good things happen; when I don't I stall or regress. If pressed about a goal I would have to write that I want to run more often and farther than I have been for reasons that I've written about before. The limiting factor is going to be how my body responds; as long as I'm not injuring myself I'll be out there pounding the pavement in addition to the gym stuff I do.

As I ponder while typing one new goal has come to mind. The timing is coincidental to the starting of the next phase of this on going fitness discussion; about a week ago I once again dusted off my calipers to track my bf% on a daily basis. I did it for about a decade, but stopped a couple of years ago although I've continued to weigh myself daily. My overall soft goal is to lose some weight and gain lean body mass and this will give me additional feedback. After almost a week I can write, "So far, so good".

Welcome Susie. I'm inspired by everyone's posts; just the pick up I need on some days.

According to Mr Ringo I've met my goal for Road to Summer which was to wear a two piece swim suit on our trip to Mexico in July. Of course, he's biased (smile). My one-pieces are ready for packing. The very old bikini has lost all its elasticity, so if I want to wear one, I gotta go buy one.

Thankfully I am at goal weight (grateful to abstinence in OA and my exercise routine) but I have some loose skin caused by my addiction (diet/binge cycle in my youth). At two months shy of 60 yrs of age, I may never tighten up completely but I am at peace with my body and the world at large.

Goal for Road to Fall: Continue doing what works.

Ringo, I'm glad you're in such a good mental (and physical) place.

I went for a 2 mile run and all body parts felt fine. My next time on the road is going to be Friday.

My goal is to lose 10lbs. I have been lifting weights a minimum of 2 days a week and trying to get 10K steps daily. Losing the extra wine calories sure makes it easier! I lost 1 lb last week . Great thread love reading everyone's plans and accomplishments.

Hola all! Great job on the weight loss Susiegirl and Graciepearl!
It's Back day for Upstairs followed by mowing grass if it doesn't pour down raining once again. So far so good with the dead lifts, which isn't unexpected as I'm going easy on the weight.

Goals for Fall! Maybe I shouldn't have stressed goals in the opening thread, but they help me so I did! Anyways, I want to add about 35lbs to my bench press. Twice that to squats. Just ten to shoulder presses. Easy goals as I was there last fall before I dropped a bunch of weight and strength. Thanks all for joining me in the new thread!

Hey everyone ~ Did a quick 5K on an elliptical at the gym today.....getting ready for tonight's drum lesson ~ a good reminder that I need to tighten up the core! Hmmm, that would be a good goal.....

Sunny and warm enough yesterday at 3p to do an outdoor work-out. Working upper body w/ 3lb weights while walking fast mixed in with slow jog is nowhere as intense as in the gym. It's ok as I love being outdoors, in the sun, seeing the goslings with their parents, and even dodging the goose poop.

Exercise for the day is going to be a light workout consisting of an upper body push/theme.

Hola all! It's shoulder day in my basement. Hopefully it'll go well, as I wore myself out mowing the lawn after that back workout yesterday. Speaking of which, I think I have finally gotten the hang of the deadlifts. In the past, I hadn't been committing to just let your back take all the load. I had kept trying to use too much of my legs and screwing the whole movement up. Live and learn. Take care all!
