Yep that's true that the marathon isn't going to get any shorter on your accord! The little face shaking its head is so funny Gonnachange!

Rest day here. I need it, my muscle are aching.

Happy fathers day to all you dad's!

Good morning all and happy Sunday.

GC, you don't strike me as the type fellow that does anything unprepared! My bet is that by marathon time you'll be ready.

A lazy morning here with coffee, breeze and birdsong. Gym this afternoon.

Enjoy the rest day Zen.

Telling on myself so maybe it'll put my butt back on track.....(I've been sober, tho!) But I've been slacking.......it helps to read all of your posts - you're all doing so well! I should at least crank up some music and go for a walk......

Happy Fathers Day!

Mark, thanks for the confidence!

I got yesterday started with a hour at the gym. I'll be back there shortly for a session with my trainer.

Purp, did you go for that walk?

I should talk--not much physical anything this past weekend. Took Lady out for one short walk. It was too hot even for her.

So, another Monday is here and that means:
1) Cleanse day;
2) Spin at 11am;
3) With this gorgeous weather we're having, skipping the leg/butt routine in the gym to do it outdoors; and
4) Bike to a 7p meeting.

I'm currently reading about intermittent fasting. Six months ago it was Paleo; last two months it's been Deep Nutrition and traditional cooking; and now I'm on another kick.

I may be sober and abstinent, but I'm still an addict!

Happy Monday all! Finally! It's nice to start just a regular work week unless some other calamity happens. Last Friday we had some kind of angry storm pop up and dumped I don't know how much rain on my house. My whole back yard was underwater from the creek flooding. I could have gotten in some canoeing workouts if I had one. The house stayed dry though!

It's leg workout for me today. I may add in some additional exercises like lunges or something It seems like I'm getting too used to my regular routine. I just do basic squats/leg extention/leg curl/calf raises right now. Anyone know what happened to Soberwolf or if there will be a Road to Fall? Summer starts Wednesday and I'm working on a new set of goals. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Workout done but it I dragged my butt through it. Mondays are brutally busy at work and I can never fall asleep early like I need to on Sundays so I'm beat.

Upstairs, glad your house didn't flood! Damn the rain has been crazy lately!

SW had a thread last week that he's doing well. Think he's just taking a break from SR We might need to start our own new thread.

Gonnachange, how long till the marathon?

Upstairs, I'm glad your house stayed dry.

Zen, enthused or not you got through your workout. Well done! The marathon is 20 weeks from yesterday, Nov. 5th. Ordinarily that would be plenty of time, but I've been doing so little running lately I'm starting from a very low point.

Monday fun at the gym starting with some warm ups and then 3 rounds of:

Stability ball planks
Heavy ropes
Jumping jacks
Renegade rows with Fat Gripz
Ab wheel rollouts
Mountain climbers
Bosu ball push ups with knee thrusts

Nice to see everyone Yes I went for a much needed walk yesterday for an hour ~ wore my new weighted gloves too, just to add a little extra......

Today I made it to the gym and did an hour on one of the cardio machines. Hopefully tomorrow I will go after work and get back into some strength training.

Purp, is Goat Yoga anything like Laughing Yoga? I'll look it up.

Did everything yesterday that was planned except for biking to an evening meeting. I sure skip that one often enough. Maybe that's why I didn't sleep well last night.

No exercise planned today but I might change my mind. This might sound silly to most of you but as a compulsive exerciser in recovery, adding a session is a serious decision for me. Maybe a walk to enjoy the sunshine and slight breeze. I work on a beautiful island.

Purpl, nice to see you picking up some momentum.

Ringo, a walk may be a nice compromise. Speaking of which:

Exercise for today is going to be walking, stretching, and some foam rolling.
