Did P90X, now on the p90x2 and have the Insanity stuff sitting in the bin waiting for me. I wanna cycle through it all this year, twice if time allows. A musician friend of mine did exactly that last year and went from being overweight and in pi$$ poor shape to looking like Brad frikin Pitt in Fight Club. He told me Insanity was the hardest single program he's ever attempted. Also have a bud in the marines now on active duty in Afghanistan... he told me the workouts are exactly as the name implies... frikin insanity. For him to say that already has me shaking in my boots lol. So far I am getting tanked by the p90x stuff, like very seriously spent. The cutting phase leaves me with very little energy stores, but I am shredding my booze belly so it's all bloody good to me. The P90X and X2 combines to be one helluva workout cycle. Looked through Insanity after I picked up my copy though, and Mother of God that stuff looks like it's gonna be tough as nails. ![]() All in all this stuff is no joke, and I highly recommend it to anyone. Of course I don't go for the supplements and all that extra "take your money" stuff, but I've seen what this stuff can do when the diet and workouts alone are followed as suggested. Awesome workouts IMO. Awesome stuff Stang. Let us know how you're progressing yes?

....I look worse than I did drunk by the time the warm up is over. I'm confident I can see it through though and the form will get better as I progress. | |

Gotta say I used to train like a freak (way back in the day lol). 2 hours every day + JKD 4 times a week. Funny how I don't remember once being as sore as I have been during those first 2 weeks of P90X. I think I'll make out a will before I get to the Insanity disks. Good luck amigo .

I will say, from looking it over it's a nice enhancement/progression/addition, with what seems to be some pretty extensive fine tuning. I'd guess that there's a bit more science applied to this one, since they've had some time to study what works and what was fluff in the first P90X. There's more work with stabilizer and medicine balls (which I have to buy for sure). The yoga disk is WAY cooler than the first one, enough that I may replace the first one with the new version next week. Honestly, Yoga on the first p90X is bloody hard to get through, and some of it a bit unnecessary. Best thing about P90X 2 that I have noticed right now (having not done it) is the diet manual. It is much more simplified than the first one, easier to follow and much easier to shop for. Being honest, the first diet manual (P90X 1) is harder to follow than it needs to be, and has some pretty obscure food choices. If I ever had a complaint about P90X it was the diet manual, and I guess others had the same concern because it's completely reworked this time around. If I were to give advice I would say get through a cycle of P90X, move to the next one, and then hit Insanity full bore. Reason being is because my muzo friend did exactly that and I honestly can't believe his results. It's almost like he had a total body transplant. To give you an idea, he was at least 60 lbs overweight and had trouble walking up a flight of stairs. Now he literally looks like an extra from the cast of 300 and kicks my ass in Squash (he couldn't even play squash before he started P90). I think his body fat is in the low single digits now, and we're talking about a guy that could have doubled for Fred Flintstone last summer, 2011. Here's some info from youtube I found about the differences to expect.
