hey Clowie - nice to see you!

Water...yep...that is a challenge for me. i learned from my dear friend here that a splash of juice in it helps alot, or a little mint. I have been drinking mine the last few days with orange juice,it helps and my doctor said the liquid is what is important. Not soda and stuff like that, but the water with juice is a great idea.

Just thought I would share that with you, stick around, let's all support each other.

Gulp Gulp Gulp... I went from a job where I did a lot of running around (I use to wear leg weights and take the steps) to a job that the only moving I do is my fingers on the keyboard... :p
A bunch of girls and I are on this program we created.. drink water, walk, and motivate each other....
at the end of the month we weigh in and whoever made the most progress we have to buy that girl a gift certificate to her favorite store 15 dollars each..
Thanks I need the motivation...
Your friend... Clowie...
gulp gulp gulp... I'm almost done 2.2. liters... hehehehehe

Lightbulb Water...

If my fibrofogged memory serves me right, the average person is supposed to drink the equivalent of about 8 16 oz glasses of water a day. It's also important to drink before you get thirsty, becuz by then you're already starting to dehydrate, and need that much more water to build your reservoir (aka bladder? ) back up!

None of this is a problem for me. Becuz of my fibromyalgia (FM), allergies, and probably meds, I am constantly thirsty and sipping on water all day. A large thermos cup goes with me virtually everywhere I go.

A good way to drink a lot of water with some flavor, and do even more for your health, may be to drink a lot of decaffineated herbal teas; green tea is said to be especially good for you. I drink a lot of tea, hot & cold. Juices are good if you watch the sugar--that is if you need to, like me!:saywhat?:

Yeah, I learned I had to watch the sodium--my blood pressure. Also, drinking like I soda with lots of sodium is akin to a lesser degree to drinking salt water--it makes you thirstier.

Time for some more nice fresh water!...

Here's my trick... I'm teaching myself HTML this week. I'm keeping a 1 liter bottle of water on my desk and taking a big gulp every time I do something wrong :p

I drank 3 liters yesterday. Which speaks volumes (or should I say liters) about my HTML skills

Lightbulb

Hey Good daughter:

I'm OCD (obsessive compulsive), and that sounds like a pretty good way to try to break some of my compulsions. If nothing else just by being aware. Plus I'll be drinking my water.

Of course drinking plenty--of water, used to be other things sometimes:o-- has never been much of a problem for me (see post above). Good thing my wife and two "good daughters" know me as "The Bladder King!"

On the other hand, I wouldn't want to get OC about drinking my water!

Better than getting OC about drinking booze again, tho!:dead:

Good daughter, if I used your trick to learn HTML, I'd need another big bladder! Fortunately there's a bathroom about 3 giant steps from the computer!:okay:

Meanwhile, I wish you well with your water drinking & HTML!
