The Biggest Loser

Has anybody seen this show? I was so incredibly motivated when I saw thse people weighing in to losing over a hundred pounds in only 6 months... their bodies were completely re-transformed and they didn't even look like the same people anymore. It was amazing. If anybody's intersted in being on the show, they put up a website at the end of the show, I think it was www.nbc.com, definitely check it out because the grand prize is 50,000$ not tomention an absolutely amazing new healhty body and a very good life-changing experience. I would do it, but I don't think they would take a Canadian, lol. I have a feeling it's a USA thing, I really hope to see someone from our chatroom kicking butt on there!!

I have considered it but cannot leave my babies for that long. Yeah, to see the before & after of some of the people on there (especially the ones that get voted off & still continue in the healthy lifestyle ) is really an inspiration. Anyone that is able to stay strong & focused & beat ANY addiction is an inspiration to me. Staying focused on God & living our lives as He intended is definately not easy sometimes. Lots of temptation out there.

My Sunday School teacher was diagnosed with diabetes about 8 months ago. He has lost the 100 lbs that his doctors told him he had to lose. He has also been an inspiration. I am also trying to learn from people with healthy lifestyles & encourage those with not so healthy lifestyles to keep my focus all of the time.

Definitely check it out everyone. It's so motivating to look at all of the different successes. People on this site have lost hundreds of pounds and they al look and feel so good, they're all so happy. Wow... so motivating...

Sweatpea, it's NBC so i bet if you made it on the show, they would provide you with childcare if you asked them... they're made of money. Also, the reward is $250,000, I was wrong about the 50k. That's amazing motivation on top of being on TV and jus thaving 10 weeks to yourself to devote to health and fitness, that's the most perfect spa treatment if you ask me.

I joined their Biggest Loser Club. They have some really excellent menus and they claim these are the exact same menus that the contestants used during the show. I've tried some of the recipes and they are great. My problem is getting enough discipline to stick to any sort of planned regimine.

Yeah, fair enough. I was speaking with a friend of mine who had quit over-eating and was having trouble quitting smoking and I asked her why she couldn't just quit as she had quit the other awful habit. She replied that with the weight, she realized it was something that she had to do, it came to the point where she was so incredibly miserable that she did not see another alternative in life but with tthe smoking she wasn't at that point yet. Isn't that crazy? I guess when you're ready you'll stick to it, and same goes for me and everybody else on this board, once we reach that point it will just happen.
