| Have to start over tomorrow
Well, I have not been eating very well at all since I last posted. Consumed way too much food. Talking to my step daughter about the reasons to eat healthy as I am buying a huge block of chocolate. At least it was the dark chocolate which is good for your heart (if you can get past the fat of course). I wish I could just take my own advise that I give to everyone else. It is so easy to tell others what to do, but so hard to apply it to my own life. Persistance, right. Pray for me, I really want this.

Hey Sweet Pea... fail to plan.. plan to fail... left to my own impulsive devices... I will more than likely give into my a addictive desires rather than do what is good and beneficial to me... That's why I had to plan my next day the evening before... I usually had a pretty good idea of what was going to be going on... and I would plan my food around that ... making good decisions for myself ahead of time... realistic ones... It takes 3 days generally for the body to stabilize itself after a sugar binge.... 3 days for the cravings to disappear as long as no more simple sugars are introduced... I highly recommend learning about the body and nutrition. there is nothing like information... pro and con.. to help a person understand what their behaviors are doing to them... drag us out of denial... hopefully.... ;o) Do you have any food addiction meetings in your area..?? they really helped me... |

Sweetpea, you are not alone. I too, have been having a very hard time with my addictions and emotions. In the last two days I have eaten my way through a 1 lb. box of chocolate candy! I am pretty disgusted with me, but didn't seem to be able to keep myself from eating it. I know that I need to sit down with myself and write in my journal and work some steps and get myself back to the program. This is just one step away for me from falling into other addictive behaviors and that is not good. And last night I was talking to my older daughter about taking care of herself and getting herself together now that her ex-h is back out of the house.......would be nice if I practiced what I preached also. Sometimes it's just not that easy.
