The movie Supersize Me

We watched it the other night. OMG. The guy ate nothing but McDonalds for 3 meals a day for 30 days. I know that is extreme but what it did to his liver was amazing.

I will never eat a Big Mac again.

unfortunatley...it didn't deter my kids from McDonalds LOL

Yes it is a movie. A guy gives himself a challenge to eat nothing but Mcdonalds for 3 meals a day for 3 days. Yes it is extreme but his liver looked worse than an alcohalic after the 30 days. It was crazy, he interviewed all different people from drs to differnet fields of nutrition. Fast food...nope no for me anymore (haven't done it in the last few years anyway, except a chicken sandwich now and then, but NOPE NEVER).

The list of ingredients in the chicken nuggets was unbeleivable!

You should rent the movie, it will give you a whole new outlook on fast food restaurants.

Sounds like an interesting movie.

I've read alot of info on fast food rest. wherever I can....you know when they put the info out there. And yes, it is an eye opener.

Thanks for sharing this.

They made us watch it in Health. I thought it was really gross. And that the dude was completely insane, I mean WHY would you put yourself through that. I've never liked fast food but now I have even more of a reason not to like it.

They did a complete health check before he started. He was well monitered throughout the movie. His health was a steady decline from the very beginning. His body was even rejecting the food at first. It was like he became addicted to the high fat and started craving it and needed more of it. I found it very interesting.

Were the problems with his liver because of high fat content & preservatives? Or was it something else that seemed to affect his liver? I've really wanted to watch this since it first came out. I guess I'll have to watch it now for sure.

He tried I think 15 times to do an interview with someone at McDonalds, but nope they wouldn't do it. Sueing....I don't know. It was an indepdent film I don't it hurt them that bad.

His colestoral jumped like over 150 points or something like that in the first 2 weeks. It was nuts. You should rent it. Like I said we dont eat stuff like that very much (my kids do) but I won't ever do it again from any fast food place.
