People show up and bring cookies, candy, bakery goods.
Family members will buy things that fancy their taste buds.
House is filled with temptations at every turn.
I have been doing great... just one piece won't matter.... ARGH!
ok so the one became 10 over 3 days time.
Girl Scout cookies sitting on the table. My favorite kind (of course)
I am collecting things to bring to work.... those cookies look great.
ARGH!
Just one won't matter? OK just one sleeve from one box won't matter.
OK! just one box won't matter. ARGH!

Who is in control here? Me or the cookies?

Well I told those little voices inside... NO!
I was able to get past the moment and leave the cookies behind.
getting through the moment at a time if need be.... It does work.
Past the moment and on into my day.
Tomorrow I will deal with tomorrow. Today I used what works.
Today my choices where made one moment at a time.

It does work when we follow the suggestions passed on through the steps.

"Who is in control here?" That is so close to what I was thinking when I quit smoking.. "Hey... I'm bigger than you! You're not the boss of me!" Congrats for standing up to the cookies. I stood up to potato chips last night, but cookies are a much tougher opponent.

Do you ever feel like the chocolate chips are watching you? Gloating? You inspire me. I'm going to talk back to the baked goods.

I haven't felt that cookies were watching me, but....have heard them calling my name from the inside the frig or cupboard......

Okay. I stood up to the cookies. But I made a mistake. I correctly identified the cookies as "enemy" but I thought Aunt Millie's Cranberry Walnut Bread was my friend. Seductive monster!
