| How's it going???
hey girls - How are we doing out there? I have been going to the gym, that is a good thing. But last night was not good. Went to eat with two of my closeset friends to celebrate a bday and boy did we have a dinner party!!! At least we shared dessert LOL. But today, right back on track. Except I am struggling again with the water, but I keep trying!!! Hope you all are doing great! Take care.

Hey there, Yes, well, the gym is going great for me. I have increased my workout pace on the tread mill. And added some muscle toning to my routine. I have been getting plenty of water since it's so hot. But my eating has been all over the place. I haven't been able to get consistant with it. I'm eating health foods but still eating late and snacking late. Going out with the girls sounds great. It's ok once is a while to get lost with them, but you got right back on track. And that was great!! Well have a great day and gulp that water down. Pony |

I just finished the summer stress fest. That's where I don't have time to look up for about 3 weeks straight and sleep about 3 hours a night. If I eat, it comes from McDonald's or wherever the kindly foodfetcher is headed. It's fairly vigorous, so in spite of the way I eat, I don't gain during this time. However... I get into bad habits that I tend to continue during the crash. Gotta be aware this year! I like the idea of the gym thing. I could get the same workout just cleaning up the warehouse, but I don't wanna. Headed for the sink! |

Thanks Pauline! I don't think I've told you that my mother's name is Pauline. She is a lovely person, too! Yesterday I heard an add on the radio for a "duck derby". I didn't catch the whole thing, but had great fun imagining what it could be! |

thanks Smoke - No you never mentioned that your moms name is Pauline. It is an older womans name. People usually tell me they know someone older with that name, but that is okay, I will be older one day and it will fit perfect. My mom liked the movie "Perils of Pauline" funny huh??? I have to tell you that when I read duck derby, I pictured a bunch of us "ducks" meaning me, running in circles - ha ha ha. Silly sense of humor I have. I fell off the wagon yesterday (food not drugs). I punish myself with food and boy did I do it last night. And I worked my butt off (well not literally) at the gym yesterday. About 8:30 last night I came home from work (met my bookkeeper there who has taught me alot and comes in quarterly and checks me). When seh (who is also my dear friend) saw how far behind I am on some things she said nicely "wow P you better get caught up on this stuff" and my disease kicked it telling me what a loser I am. Did I use drugs - no - but when making the kids lunches for today boy did I stuff myself. Wow that is embarassing to say outloud. But for the first time the last few months I have really recognized the problem that I have when I do this to myself. Okay enough being heavy (slip of the tongue, I mean heavy emotions) - I had to vent and you people got stuck having to listen. This duck is going quack and do some work now (and stay out of the kitchen) thank you all for listening. Keep up the great work Smoke!

I LOVE the Perils of Pauline! The sewing machine, the sewing machine, A girls best friend. If I didn't have my sewing machine, I'd come to no good end. Recognizing your bad habits is the first step to changing them! I had a weird panic attack yesterday. It's a good thing I was at work instead of home because I would have solved it with ice cream. My duck derby racecar is going to be made of an old ice cream carton with doughnut wheels, a peppermint gear shift, quarter pounder seats, a cream cheese bagel steering wheel, with a retractable bacon sunroof. Yours? |

thanks - after I wiped the laughter tears from my eyes... here is my car - Cheesecake box held up by a frame of Charleston Chews, wheels of M & M cookies, cupcake steering wheel, pizza seats and a corn dog roll bar - wanna race??? And yeah there was a movie called "The Perils of Pauline" with Betty Hutton.

The movie with Betty Hutton (thank you) was based on the life of the real silent film star, Pearl White (I think). My mom was named for the silent films... which were a series. I love your car! I knew you would have a cupcake, but somehow I pictured you sitting on it. Let's drag!!!! |

Thanks, I think i just stepped of the a** kicking machine back on to firm ground (no, not on to a cupcake LOL) i needed to laugh, thanks. now, I am flying around turn two, but the frosting from my cupcake steering wheel just hit me in the face, I hit the wall, but wait, wait, I recover, just licked that frosting right out of the way!!!

Wait - the Charleston Chews thawed when I took them out of the freezer, they melted, and here I sit in the middle of the track pizza melting with chocolate, my hot dog sticking out of the corn roll bar... what next???

Maybe we should redesign our racers. I was thinking I'd like bucket seats. Canape' anyone? And if you're going to be losing cookie crumbs off of your wheels like that, I want a windshield. Fruit rollups. Who needs to see? Anyway, I think we got problems. Somebody entered racing a microwave on saucepan lids. Is that you Jon? |

I will work on my redesign also. (darn the cookie crumbs were supposed to distract you). the bucket seat idea is good, like a bucket of chicken. And maybe corn on the cob for my wheels, flying kernals should be less damaging to the fruit roll up than cookie crumbs and M & M/s. Back to the bakery for some glazing maybe. We need more racers - Anyone up for it?????

Okay I am in!!! I am fond of the ice cream box body but I must have cinnamon bagel wheels and it all glued together with maple walnut cream cheese. My steering wheel is made of twizzlers and my seat is a banana nut muffin and it is fueled with Diet Coke...get that. I am gaining on you guys...Pauline is in the pit ...but hey! My fingers are sticking to the steering wheel and I am loosing control! Into the wall! My pit crew is running toward me to make sure that I am alright..they are dressed like Good and Plenty....I assure them them that I am fine... There is a yellow flag out now girls! Cream cheese on the track...lots of it...mixed with Diet Coke...a slippery mess. Take it easy around those turns! JT

Ok I couldn't resist. My car is made out of a loaf of white butter top bread. The wheels are dinner rolls lubed with butter. My steering wheel is made out of a warm loaf of pita bread with a butter gloss. My seats are baked potatoes with weaved pasta slip covers. And my fuel is cheese sauce. I lost because I put coffee in the radiator instead of water. The car broke down in the heat and I ate it after the first lap. I'll be sitting here on the side lines until I can walk again waiting to see who wins. Best of luck. MG |

And creeping up the rear is the sure and steady Angelfood daredevil. Body of angelfood cake dripping with strawberries and whipped cream, bagel wheels with cream cheese and strawberry jam, And fueled by coffee mocha icre-cream. She may be a lap behind, but the flying cream ooze is slip-sliding the others away. Wiping strawberry drips out of her eyes, Angelfood is moving ahead...ignoring the confetti sprinkles on the seat beside her. she reaches for a Twinkie.
