Food and I

hi

Food and I have a love/hate relationship. It all started before i can even remember. when i was in grade school id always be the last to finish eating in the cafeteria while all the other kids went playing outside. I remember praying that i wouldnt have to eat at school. but when puberty hit, i suddenly was the first to finish. and i would eat everything i could. then i discovered wonderful drugs. at first they seemed like a wonderful way to cut the hunger which they did. I started popping speed and E and going to raves and dancing it all off. (altho i wasnt fat in reality) But i still felt like s-h-i-t. i was still a blob in the mirror. but i could eat all i wanted and then just pop the pills and it would go away.

that stopped working after a while. So i went for crystal meth. i lost crazy amounts of weight in short periods of time, then id binge and go get high for a couple days again. but i felt like utter s-h-i-t on the inside. anyway...

i quit drugs and alchol 3 months ago. and now im back to that place i used to be where i eat uncontrolably. ive gained 20-30 pounds. i occasionally make myself throw up. i dont know what kindof eating dissorder this is. i think i got it from my mom. ill try to starve myself, but then ill eat big amounts of food. and sometimes ill make myself throwup. and then sometimes i can eat healthy, but other days im all about the junk. i dont know wtf is wrong with me its gross.

You are taking the first step to help, you are talking about it and reaching out. Keep talking and it will get better. I too gained weight really quick when I stopped using, that is what happens alot.
Make a plan, I do much better when I plan what I am going to make/eat for at least a few days, or even just in the morning. And what about exercise. I have been slacking latley, working on getting back in my routine. But a few months ago I was exercising on a regular basis and I felt better than I have ever felt in my whole life. It does make a difference.

So how about a plan?

yes! a plan! this morning i went to a cafe and picked up a fitness magazine.

i found lots of great tips. here ill type up a few

-walk instead of taking the bus
-eat with chopsticks, it takes longer to eat and youll be more aware of what you put in your mouth
-be consistant with your exercise plan
-try losing 5 pounds,taking it one day at atime, and treat yourself to a peice of clothing when you acheive your goal
-keep a food diary
-switch from cream to milk in your coffee
-DONT BEAT YOURSELF UP
-make a eating schedule
-brush your teeth after you eat, you wont want to eat more cause itll taste gross

Those are some great tips, thanks for sharing them. Chop sticks....I would skinny as a board

consistency, logging food, replacing things like cream with milk, all those little things add up.

A friend of mine has helped me become concious of fiber, checking the fiber content in things is really good to.

Fiber helps clean our system out (among other things).
