Hit a new road block

My name is Shana. Ia m 18 years old and have struggled with eating since I was 14 or so. I chose to starve myself. Than I would punish myself by binge eating it was a cycle of hell for me. I though All I had to do was stop starving myself. WRONG!!!!. I still cont. to binge eat and it has been really bad. Instead of starving myself I just cont. the binging and I hit really low and want to starve myself. It has been a everyday battle for the past two months now for me not to starve myself. So far so good. I have not starved myself in 1 year and 2 months. But feel like sh## right now. I am writing down what I eat and how much and that helps but I do not for how long it will last. Feeling negatinve. Any encouraging words.
Love,
Shana, 18

Shana,
I've struggled with eating for decades, but I recently quit smoking and have been bingeing on sweets lately and have gained a bunch of weight. I used to starve myself, too, but not recently. I am in therapy and I have a psychiatrist and I need to talk to them about this because it's really gotten out of hand. I'm also going to try to go to Overeaters Anonymous meetings. I probably should also meet with a physician or nutritionist about my diet.

Any of the above would be good things to try. I wish you the best!
Love, Eddie

Shana-

You have come a long way. I am sorry that you feel like $hit. It will pass just hang on. Don't forget to say your prayers. Have you ever tried drinking herb teas? Hibiscus has a sweet taste and it is good without sugar peppermint is good too. The fluid helps your body get rid of toxins and can also make your stomach send a message to your brain that you are full. Eat well!! Take care!!
