Talking Deflated!

Some of you may remember the story of the innertube jeans from weeks ago. I put on my biggest pair of jeans and got "innertube effect". Dino tried to argue with me about the name of the phenomenon. He called it "Dunlop Disease"... 'cause your belly done lopped over your belt. I corrected him. Men get Dunlop Disease. But the innertube effect is feminine and goes aaaaaaaaaaall the way around. Hideous.

Anyway I put on the innertube jeans yesterday and... no spill. Everything fit inside. I am thrilled. Of course... that's the biggest pair... but it's definite progress!

Now THAT is motivating!!

I went shopping last week and it was a joy! Depending on the brand I could get into a lower size...

Hugs,
JT

That's a BIG (excuse the expression) victory, Smoke!!! Getting back into clothes that we gave up on feels great!!! I LOVE Dino's "Dunlop" ananlogy, LOL.

Last night I weighed Toby (he has a thyroid problem and takes medicine, and had lost weight but now has put it back on plus some...which is good). Anyway, he weighs 14 pounds, and I realized while holding him and standing on the scales that not long ago I weighed even more than the two of us combined!!! I have lost more than a CAT in weight!!! Feels good

Wwwooooo hhooooo! Ladies. You are all doing great!! I love this....success, even in little steps, it's great!!! But really it's all big steps.

I have been sort of at a stand still, but it's better than gaining. I haven't been doing everything I should be...and I know that...so it's pretty good that I haven't gain any. But I have been getting back to things and moving forward the last few days....so hopefully some forward results will show up soon. Although, I did get two rather nice compliments this week. My friend/co-worker, that I go hiking with, said that progress was really beginning to show, he noticed from behind that I was looking slimmer.

And the other was from a little 5 yr. old girl who was on one of the field trips I had this week and doesn't even know me, said that I was looking pretty today...(that day) that was very nice of her and did make me feel good.
