Outer Beauty?

Well... outer improvement, anyway. I don't know if I've lost any more weight as I have not gotten a battery for my scale yet, but I can say that I've lost about 20 pounds since I started. I just noticed today how different I look. It kind of took me by surprise because I was sort of thinking I was almost halfway... and halfway would be significant... but I have been all focused on what I will look like when I'm done. What I would look like in stages along the way didn't really register. If my body was an essay, it would have been returned with, not an A, but a passing grade... and note that said "much improved".

Just savoring the journey.

Re: Outer Beauty?

You know something? Since my getting the internet 8 years ago and being able to talk with all kinds of people from all over... I have found that true beauty comes from the inside. My beoming a Christian 5 years ago and thus meeting people from that part of the world has shown me the same when I am face to face with people. Those who have a tender heart and are filled with love... Outer beauty does shine. The shine starts in the hearts of us all.
I am sure you must have a huge smile at how far you have come with your goal. That smile is a true outer beauty. A sparkle in our eye and a smile on our face when we are filled with joy shines like a lighthouse in the middle of the night.
Congatulations on how far you have come in reaching your goal.
Let that smile shine.... :bparty3

That was really nice Best.

Smoke - thank you for sharing that, it is easy for me to forget how far I have come. I can say it over and over (and I do ) but to look in the mirror and remember it is different.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought we were going to talk about liposuction !!!!

:LMAO

I was just thinking the other day that I wouldn't mind having lipo. But I've heard that if you don't change your eating habits, sometimes the fat comes back in weird places, like the middle of your back or on your arm - places you never had fat to begin with.

I'm not at my goal yet either, Smoke, but I really do feel a lot better than when I was carrying around an extra 18 pounds. And I feel good about how I look today, a big change for me. Yup, the journey is to be enjoyed.

And no lipo for me, I hate surgery.
