Re: New here..
hey i am kath in western australia and i do get the mucnchies too, but my main issue is alcohol.
i did lose a lot of weight buy drinking lots of water, eating fruit, it tastes disgustign at first but then is ok, especially bananas. not sure where you, are but avocadoes and tuna salad is good. i find avacodo works with salads, cause then you dont have to an mayonaise to get the creamy flavour.
also fresh herbs help, basil, dill etc, make salad up about and hour before you need or want to eat it, with the herbs etc and then it is yummy and filling.
in terms of bread, eat rye bread, that is the best, use avocado instead of butter on it for a sandwich. even though avocadoe has fat it is good fat
basically i drank lots of water, soda is nice and reasonably cheap, fruit, bananas, apples, pears, and salads. even odd things like potatoe slices grilled on the barby, no oil required, is yummy, or capsicum, ( i think you call them peppers) ( or even sweet potatoe.]
takes awhile to adapt to the different tastes but is worth it.
the best trick is cut out salt, it makes you thirsty, use pepper or chilli flakes for flavour.
stick with it you will get there. and if you have HUGE desire for a chocky or other sweet things have it, one wont kill you if you are doing the rest right.
cheers and good luck
