| Yeah for me!!!
I have been keeping a food diary for about 6 weeks now just to go back to see how I have been able to change my eating habits. I haven’t gotten on that nasty scale but I do fit into an old pair of pants that I didn’t think I would ever get back in too. One thing that I noticed was during the times when I was upset I would eat more and things that aren’t so good for me. I really like being able to go back and the progress that I have made and even to see my slips on paper. Hugs, Colleen |

That is great Colleen. It feels good to fit into those clothes that you felt were a lost cause. I have recently experienced that myself and it sure does give you that boost needed to continue on a good road. But I do have those occassions where I start to get insecure and scared and totally sabotage myself by eating wrong stuff and getting off track. Darn that `ol emotional eating....lol but what different is that I can recognize it and get myself back on track before I do too much neg. damage to my plan. Thanks for sharing your good news, it's so encouraging to hear this stuff.

Colleen Thank you for a wonderful idea. Keeping track of what we eat and when we "blow the diet" is a very helpful suggestion. I am trying to NOT weigh myself until I feel that I have slimmed down at least a little. I tend to get discouraged when I follow the plan and then don't see any loss. The way I figure is if I can lose even a pound a week, and allowing for some set-back at Christmas, that by spring I will be at my ideal weight and maintaining it well. Of course, sooner is better, but any progress is still progress. Even staying the same means I haven't added another 5 pounds. Thank you for the idea. Hugs Ann

I try not to weigh myself. I hide my scale in my little guy's toy box and who would want to look through that! This way I wouldn't do it. I have another two weeks before I get on it, I promissed myself two every two months other wise I'll end up weighing in every few days and not seeing progress I'll give up but if I make myself wait I'll see more and continue. It works for me but the waiting is hard. Good luck! Colleen |

Also, measuring portions. For example a "portion" of spaghetti would be 1/2 cup. Or a portion of meat I think is 3 oz. Something like that. Not obsessing over the scale is good Colleen. Fitting into pants that you'd never thought you'd fit again feel so good. I am getting smaller and smaller. I've lost 22 lbs total now, and I have at least another 15 to get back to my pre-baby weight. It's only taken seven years. LOL One thing I hate us the 5lbs I always gain right before my cycle. I know that's what it is, and that it will come off, but it still throws me off. Juls
