Exclamation Hello.

Hi everyone. I've been out of town for a week and a half because my sister lost someone who was very special to her and she spent time with him (like father & daughter) every day for the last two years. He has been ill but he passed away at a time that was totally unexpected. I grew to love him too, as I visited him with her each time I stayed at her house.

This event has really made me remember how quickly our lives can end and we will leave people that we love and that love us and need us in their lives. So I want to make a new and purposeful effort to improve my health so that I can be here for my loved ones as long as possible and be able to do things with them for as long as possible.

I just wanted to let you all know that I'm back here with you and I hope that we can all begin to take our health more seriously before it is too late for us and we leave and hurt our loved ones way too soon.

This is what the man that just passed away always told my sister. We've talked about this alot the last few days. It's so very true.

I just rejoined the the 100 day Obvious Sweets Free thread, as part of working on bettering my health purposefully. It's a start.

LuvinMe,
PURPOSEFULLY, is really my key word in this. I'm focusing on the betterment of my health and I'm gonna work to stay focused this time, so that I can actually see and feel real obvious improvements.

I didn't eat any sugar today and I did get lots of exercise, sunshine & fresh air today, as I played with my grandbabies, inside the house & outside. I did not eat between meals today, either.

I did get exercise outside in the fresh air & sunshine today. I enjoyed another wonderful day with many of my family & friends. I remained abstinent from obvious sweets today. I tried to make healthier choices on what I ate, but I messed up when I ate chips tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day.

It's hard kicking that sugar habit. I measure mine every day! It hurt so bad not to have that double fudge chocolate cake!

Stay strong & focused, you can do it!

Thanks for sharing a message and hope, Nina!

For years I was told to get my health in order "for my children" and I ignored it for so long, I was selfishly devoted to my addictions over my loved ones.

After 27 years I gave up chewing tobacco, two months later I found sobriety, 4 years after that I started dieting, and you know a little of that story from the OS thread.

Life is God's gift to us, how we choose to live it is our gift to God.
