Spent the last 2 days....

in a Diabetes education class with a lesson on food planning and didn't hear/learn anything I didn't already know. I did, however, get a list of foods that might help me find some alternatives to the foods that I cannot eat due to allergies and other med. issues. the nurse wasn't much help in that area and couldn't believe I had such a problem. She just wasn't understanding my particular issues with food and my schedule. Not to mention that some of their teaching has to do with controling the diabetes and not necessarily weight loss.

anyway, trying to get on a routine with checking my blood, taking the medicine and having regular planned out meals is a real challange. Putting balance into my life is a challange.

Hi Pony. It's so good to see you back here. I've missed you lots.

I would be very interested to know what some of the foods are that are on your list that you mention here. I thought you were Pre-Diabetic. Why are they having you take meds for it. I didn't know that there was anything that you could take to help with that. Are you now fully Diabetic?

I do feel for you when it comes to having to make a plan and schedule that you can and will routinely have to keep. I am so undisciplined that I just about get the hives when someone eludes to the fact that I might be required to adhere to a set schedule or any 'have-tos'. I'm having so much trouble with that sort of thing right now. I cannot imagine how hard this really is for you. Very stressful to say the least.
