mxchaos, that is something that I don't know about personally, but I do know that this is very hard. I'm sorry that you're struggling so much right now. I haven't been around for a while so I'll have to go read your past posts to catch up on what's been going on with you. Please keep coming back here to talk to us about your thoughts & feelings about your struggles. Hang in there.

Thanks I put up a thread about being sober for 6 months and shared some of my struggles there. The things I said I don't truely believe but my tdoc said they're things that I have accomplished and should be proud of and I should post them.

ED is by far my biggest struggle at the moment and I have to fight every morning to do the right thing. Just wish it wasn't so damn hard.

Me to mxchaos. I am in a deep pit of despair over my ED. What's happening for you? What kind of ED do you have?

I have anorexia and I'm learning that to fight it I must choose to be healthy and take it a bite at a time kinda like getting sober, I think it's harder to do than getting sober because I also have bipolar and when I restrict it makes my bipolar worse and starts a big cycle of self destruction.

So what about you?

I've had periods of very restrictive eating. Like once every two days, or one teaspoon of ice cream total food intake for the day. Crazy diets and rules around food. Awful. There is no logic to it at all. I honestly thought I was so obese, but I was so painfully thin. I look at photos of me back them and can't believe no one tried an intervention.

I just started talking to a therapist recently. She said that food addiction / eating disorders are the hardest things to beat in terms of addiction.

Hang in there ladies.

Hang in their hun, I know what it's like to have an eating disorder and its brutal. Mine is doing better right now though the drugs have been acting up I find the two of them switch between each other. Eating disorder is hard to beat but it can get better. I still struggle with it but its not nearly as hard now. Keep trying and working hard you can get through this hun.

I really was....you never have to pick up a drink or drugs again and use them 3 x's a day like food. It is like giving the alcoholic 3 drinks and telling them that is all they can have!
