Food Junkie no more....hello Hello, i'm new..i have been lurking around here for a month or so but never had the courage to finally deal with my problem. Lol while i'm typing this i'm high on cookies, chips, chocolate and lots lots of sugar beverages..tomorrow i will def have a sugar hangover... Anywayz, i always talk BIG after i had my binges..you know, i'll deal with my problems, blablablabla and the next day it's like..hmmm let me finish the week then i'll go at it!! But NOW i have proof, i posted here and i really hope i'll have the strength to finally DO it. I'm gonna participate in the 100 day challenge, but i'm not gonna post now...it's a disgrace to do so intoxicated. I'm going to sleep now, and tomorrow i'll be back. ![]() Thank you!!

Welcome to SR and the ED forums, BrokenSword! ![]() Take it one day at a time, and it won't be so overwhelming. Read the stickies at the top. Don't try to do everything at once. We don't change a lifetime overnight. Start slow and change patterns slowly to develop healthy eating patterns that you can maintain. Remember, you're in this for life. ![]() Shalom!

getting off sugar is about like any other drug - you are gonna have some withdrawl. i remember once i OD'd on sugar per se and boy did i have a headahce and felt like crap later on. i recommend drinking loads of liquids mainly water to flush out your kidneys from it all. more protein can off set urges as well. if all else fails try sugar free stuff (but dont overdo that either - that can actually trigger you in too much quantities) like gum or mints that are sugar free. also try to follwo a diabetic diet - get books on how to live that lifestyle cause that would help you alot in resetting a life to include less sugar. good luck and yes for sure take one day at a time and dont beat yourself up for relapses. if you slip and do have sugar then dont say F-- it and keep eating more. like for example i relapsed on alcohol a whiel back but i managed to say whoa after 2 glasses wine and said this is wrong and put a cap on it. that is progress and in that is hope.
