| Takeaway foods
I don't bother too much with new year resolutions because they usually go out the window within hours, but i have a few lined up this year. Shortly after taking up the OS challenge i dropped crisps and salted nuts as well because they were looking more and more enticing as a substitute. Now, even though i have lost some weight i am partial to a takeaway and lately this has been once or twice a week, so i have decided to make cut backs. Firstly chips(fries) are off the menu. Also, i like kebabs as well and am going to limit myself to the healthier chicken kebabs. I love a curry but not a healthy one, mine is creamy and fattening, so they have to go as well. Any ideas for pizzas? I love them but unless there is an okay variety out there then they have to go too. Lastly Chinese, apart from the deep fried stuff i have no idea of what is okay and what is not, any ideas? Apologies for conjuring up any images, many thanks.

As for the pizza: I have made one from scratch using wheat flour, fat free shredded cheese, mushrooms, black olives (and any other veggies you want), and the 98% fat free turkey pepperoni, unsalted tomato sauce. It is actually really good. You can even put some hot peppers on there to spice it up a bit. Garlic is good too. As for the chinese food, in a restaurant, I would not recommend any of it. Watch for the MSG & sodium levels in there. Also, lots of carbs with the noodles & rice. I also believe from looking at it that most of the stuff is sauted or fried due to the amount of grease, so I would suggest if you are going to have it, make it at home. You can use wheat pasta or brown rice to make it healthier, extra virgin olive oil or cooking spray to saute & you are in control of the amount of spices.
