Hello Gary and Welcome to SR. I'm just now seeing your post. I'm so sorry to be so late in welcoming you, but I do hope that you'll keep coming back here. I think that it's just because of the Holidays that we haven't been around to respond. I really hope that you're having a very Merry Christmas. For me Step 1 means that this problem that I have with food is bigger than I am and I need help from someone bigger than it is. For me, that is God and I need to keep relying on Him to relieve me of this bondage and listening to Him for guidance and strength to recover. That's just my take on Step 1. I'd love to hear you're take on it when you figure it out. Again, Welcome.
