New to OA - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Hi,
I'm Kate from New Zealand and I am new to OA and the "online forum" thing.
I am hoping to meet people who are also in OA.
I attended my first meeting yeaterday and I could not believe that there are others out there with the same thoughts, feelings and behaviours as me. I really felt like I had "come home".
If you are interested in chatting, via e-mail if you prefer please drop me a line.

For today...... I am just happy that I have made the first step.

I know that I'm like a week late in answering your post and I'm so sorry for that. I haven't been here for a while. I want to Welcome You to SR and particularly to the Eating Disorders Forum here.

I used to go to OA, but now I've moved back to my home town where there isn't a meeting. I've thought of starting one here, but the time is not right for me to take on something else right now. I did benefit a whole lot when I did go to the meetings, so I do understand what you're saying. I hope that you have already or will get someone to be your OA email pal soon. Please keep coming back here as often as possible to share your ESH and hear others share theirs.

Hi Kiwikate and welcome.I did reply before but i think it was lost when the system crashed the other day.People here are very helpful and offer plenty of support and advice,best wishes.
