New here

Hello,
I am new here and trying to follow an eating plan for the first time in my life.

I am in recovery from bulimia and looking for support. I tend to try to go it alone but it doesn't work out to well long term.

I've stopped binging/purging, but still need to work on healthy eating habits.

I've gained 20 pounds in the past couple years, and want to take it off, but more importantly want to live a healthy life.

Looking forward to digging in.

Newme,

Well, first I would like to say welcome to our forum. We are always glad to have new people come along to share in our recovery here. This place is full of very supportive people all sharing the common goal to be happy, healthy and helpful. Just keep right on posting and we can get to know you as well you can get to know us.

As far as a food plan....sure we can work on something I'm sure. Just know that everyone is different in thier lifestyles and medical issues, but maybe we can help you find something that can work into your living that you can stick with and feel good about. Just write a little more about you and what you like; what you day is like; you routine, that sort of thing and we can go from there.

Pony

Newme -

I also want to welcome you, as Pony said, this is a great place for friendship and support.

I do not suffer from the same addiction/disorder as you. I myself as a recovery addict, clean and sober for almost 8 years, about 3 or so years ago I picked up food as my drug. I have been working now for the past few months an exercising 5 to 6 times per week and am learning about nutrition and eating healthy. For the first time in my life I am taking care of myself in all aspects of my life.

I look forward to getting to know you better and sharing the road to health with you.

By the way - love the location, maybe I will go on vacation there this year LOL!!
