Weight Loss Cure

Maybe you guys have already discussed this subject and I'm unaware of it. Today I saw the infomercial by Kevin Trudeau for his latest book called "THE WEIGHT LOSS CURE THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT." Man alive, it sounds too good to be true. And so I go on line to look up some info on this and I find the link I have listed below.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0240019.htm

Sounds complicated and expensive to me. What I want to know is, has anyone here bought this book or tried this method? And if there is anyone here who has,(but I'm seriously doubting that) then would you please give us all the low down on this from your personal perspective? Thank you very much.

I never heard of before, but I will certainly keep my eyes and ears open for any further info.

Thanks for bring this here. It is good for all of us to look into this sort of stuff for educational purposes. Most things are scams and we can pretty much count on that or we'd have heard all about ir from the roof tops!!!

I hate to be a wet blanket, but let me speak some sense.

The weight loss industry makes billions and billions of dollars with its quick weight loss solutions. If there was an easy way to lose weight, then everyone would be doing it. There wouldn't be a million and one diets, and a million and one fat burners.

When it comes down to weight loss, there is no easy solution. Sorry for the reality check.

You haven't given any of us here a reality check. We've all been in this long enough to have some common sense in our heads. As Pony mentioned above, all of these sourses are good for informational purposes and educating ourselves is the one of the best things we can do for us. Sheeesh!

Can you be specific about what the plan entails?

Excerpted from Bee Bee's link -

Quote:
This obesity cure has three phases. Phase 1 takes 30 days to complete. Phase 1 consists of a series of Do's and Don'ts, 60 to be exact. All the food you can eat has to be bought at a health food store (100% organic), you have to also buy at least 9 different pills to take everyday, he has included websites where you can purchase all of these things, and go to a doctor every other day for a colon cleansing along with a liver cleansing and a heavy metal cleansing.

If you make it through Phase I Phase II lasts for 45 days and you are required to get an injection of Hcg everyday along with doing the things on Phase I. Now Hcg is not approved by the FDA so good luck finding a doctor who will give it to you or you can order it online for some outrageous price and inject it yourself.

Phase III is perty much the same thing except without the Hcg injections. After all this the author tells you that if you ever eat at a fast food place or restaurant or anything that is not 100% organic you will gain the weight back. The arthur says that if you would like to go to one of the clinics who administer this diet you can go to his web site for a list. When you get to his site you find out that you have to subscribe to his newsletter for another $9.95 a month.

No one is going to cleanse my colon! I don't care WHAT is the guarantee!

And injections of Hcg? Egad!...

This is from Wikipedia -

Quote:
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a peptide hormone produced in pregnancy, that is made by the embryo soon after conception and later by the syncytiotrophoblast (part of the placenta). Its role is to prevent the disintegration of the corpus luteum of the ovary and thereby maintain progesterone production that is critical for a pregnancy in humans. hCG may have additional functions, for instance it is thought that it affects the immune tolerance of the pregnancy. Early pregnancy testing generally is based on the detection or measurement of hCG. Because hCG is produced also by some kinds of tumor, hCG is an important tumor marker, but it is not known whether this production is a contributing cause or an effect of tumorigenesis.
1. Who in their right mind would get this injection and 2. What sort of quack would be willing to GIVE it!?

This looks like a stay away... far far away type thing, to me.

And the $9.95 to "subscribe" in order to receive more information is probably where the BULK of their money comes from!

Tittilating... and sort of "evil"..... In my opinion.

Unfortunately there are so many different things/books/ diets/ plans/ programs put out there for the purpose of attracting those of us who are desaprate to lose weight and have tried everything. They make it sound like this is it.... this is the one that will do it... and it's been hidden from you all for this long....lol

Sad but true they are out there to make a buck. There is NO cure.... there is no short cut to the hard work. There might be medical reasons that weight loss plans haven't worked in the past, as well as emotional issues....that's why we are all here. To work on those and get past and deal with this stuff, but in healthy way.

I guess I am just a firm believer in the old fashion way of eating the right foods and getting the exercise daily to burn off and tone up what we need to. And working through the issues we have with our food addiction and emotional behaviors so that we keep it off.

I really shy away from anything that says it's a quick fix or is the answer to all.
