Eeeek... here goes nothing... -a Slimfast Shake for lunch (slept in and missed breakfast) -for dinner at a buffet: 2 slices of pizza, about 3 cups of popcorn shrimp, about 15 potato wedges, 2 rolls, a huge salad with ham, cheese, three times the necessary number of croutons, and italian dressing (not lite), and for dessert- a chocolate ice cream cone. This doesn't even account for the 5-6 glasses of Sprite I downed during that meal.... |

I do know of a few good web sites for looking up calories if you ever don't have the facts right in front of you: www.calorieking.com www.dwlz.com (this one has weight watcher's points listed for restaurant foods, but it also has the calories, fat, and such...) most fruit has approximately 100 calories a serving most veggies have 0-50 calories if no cheese, bacon, etc is added |

Dolly, No carbs after 2 eh? Hmm... that sounds like something I need to try. My doctors want me to go low carb, and I just can't do it; can I ask what made you decide on that rule? Was it a recommendation from someone else? Thanks! |

Hmm...I wanna do this and I already have a written one. It really helps me not to eat a whole lot. I am struggling to keep food in my body since I had my gall bladder removed. So most of what I write here, I didn't retain in my body for more than a few minutes.... Yesterday: 5 Peanut Butter Crackers 1 12oz diet mtn. dew 1 chicken sandwich only mustard 1 diet mtn dew (12 oz) 1 bowl of cheerios with skim milk Today: 1 WW size strawberry yogurt 1 low fat ham sandwich on whole wheat bread 1 serving of doritos 1 large sweet tea from Bojangles |

This morning I had a bowl of cheerios with whole milk 1 glass of cranberry juice Nothing for lunch then......i went to subway and got a12 inch BMT loaded with veggies 20 0z diet coke which I'm still nursing. I only ate 6 inches of the sub so I can save the rest for later. I'm not good at the whole calorie counting thing. I think limiting your portions and eating the right kinds of foods helps. Liesagain gave me a super great diet on the Pennies thread. I'll copy and past it here. It involves eating something healthy every 3 hours. Not big meals mind you but small ones. It keeps your metabolism working right so you burn more off all day long.

I came up with the no carb after 2 pm, it worked for me, I lost 30 pounds, then I went back to the carb thing and regained 20 pounds, so back to the no carb thing after 2. Today was not a good day for my diet, today is my 60th B-day, so the gang at work threw a party for me, big lunch and a cake...I must have eaten 3000 calories for lunch. Here is my rundown: No breakfast Snacks, candy, full pasta lunch, garlic bread, salad and the most decatant choc cake, with glazed choc frosting and strawberries. So far no dinner, I am still stuffed Ok, tomorrow back to reality. Today was not a pretty story! |

Okay, so I had to make up a little for my "lunch." We just won't even talk about that! (a gazillion calories)(382+420+143=945) For dinner (at 10:00..... long night) I had........ 1/4 cup of white rice (100 calories) 1/2 of green peas (65 calories, plus 40 for the margorine) 1 grilled chicken thigh (seems to be a color theme. the chicken was yellow lol) (250 calories) After dinner (about 5 minutes ago) 16 peanut butter crackers (520 calories) I'm drinking an iced tea right now...... somebody come take it away from me please! (190 calorie by the time I finish it) Okay, so not great, but I'm getting better! I actually ate more then one meal today. And I think I ate a vegetable. 2110 total calories. How much should I be eating? Just curious. That might help!

Here's my food for the day: breakfast: slimfast shake lunch: 2 Weight Watcher's pizzas dinner: planned to eat a salad, but went to mom and dad's to borrow dad's van and of course they had my favorite pizza there (even though I had pizza for lunch... lol... see, here's where the addiction comes in- I don't even care that it's a repeat meal) SO... I ended up eating 5 pieces of pizza oh, and a powerade so, I have no idea how many calories I ate... I'm sure it was at least near 3000... but hey, tomorrow is a new day, and I will eventually get this right! |

Oh... btw guys, fairly good news! I got my bloodwork back yesterday, and everything was normal except my blood sugar, which was only 3 points outside of the normal range... even without my meds. So I guess I'm not in as bad of shape as I thought, or God is protecting me... either way, I was so relieved. Blood pressure and heart rate are still up, but I guess that's normal for someone who weighs 270 pounds... Kinda funny, though... the doctor's assistant actually was more understanding than the doctor was when I told her about my problem. I had my symptoms written down on a piece of paper for her to read because I didn't want to tear up and not be able to finish talking about it (I have been that emotional lately). She went straight to the compulsive overeating part and asked me about it. I explained to her that addiction runs in my family, that alcoholism is very prevalent and that my sister has probs with heroin, and that for me food is just like heroin is for her. She completely understood. Not so much with the doctor... but that's okay. Someone there understood me, and that's all I wanted. So... today is a new day. And I am taking this one meal at a time. |

After being Miss Piggy yesterday, I did a little better today....I think. Cereal with skim milk, just a normal size bowl, not a swimming pool size. Bagel with cream cheese for lunch, not a great choice, but, I was starved. Din, Din, will be Stouffers Corner Bistro, Seafood Scampi, 410 calories. That Stouffers stuff is good, nice flavor and a decent portion, some of those other dinners are so small I could eat the package too, kinda hard to pass tho, loh. Unsweet ice tea all day, I'm addicted to that stuff. Cinder, you have really done great today. Lady, basically good news from the doctor, and yes, tomorrow is another day, just look at what I snarfed down yesterday! |

Here's my food for today so far: breakfast: slimfast shake (220 calories) lunch: slimfast shake (220 calories) snakc: piece of cheese (90 calories) and a spoon of peanut butter (400 calores?) dinner: will probably be lean pockets (400 calories for 2) at least they are the whole grain kind, so I won't be getting a ton of extra starch... I might end up having a fudge bar or two before bed at 40 calories apiece... so that puts me at 220+220+90+400+400=1330-1410 calories, depending on the fudge bars... and that nutritionist I hate wanted me to stay under 1500, so I think that's not too bad |

Alright, apparently I don't learn well. Or, I'm at the very least getting to understand when/why I eat. I was home all day today, and bored. So, I ate........... 4 frozen waffles with syrup and margorine 1 frozen hershey bar A chicken salad sandwhich on white toast with tomatoes French fries with american cheese Coleslaw A bite of a pickle White rice Corn and green beans Turkey sausage I'm not even counting up the calories today. Instead, I'm gonna spend my time searching for a permanent marker to write "Stop eating" on my forehead. Or maybe on the fridge as I won't be able to see it on my forehead!

lol... I've heard that some people do better with a change of eating habits if they put a picture of their current self up on the fridge so they are forced to see it when they go to get something out. I've never tried it though...

Lady, If I had to look at my body everyday on the fridge, I'd give up! It's bad enough that I have to look at my "curves" in the mirror.... Today was a good day for you, Woo Hoo! Does anyone have any idea what boobs weigh? I'd like to subtract mine from my weight....I figure they don't count in the overall weigh in. Never, now that's a bf! By now, you've burned all those waffles off, the rest of the day seems A-ok, it's a struggle isn't it? I want to be thin, I just don't want to give up all the good stuff! |

Okay, have to adjust that up there a bit. Decided not to eat the rice. Instead ate one small piece of the turkey sausage and then a bunch of veggies. And then I ate some more chocolate. Okay, I didn't say I was adjusting it to make it better.... just adjusting it!
