Question Struggles

Today has been the first day in a long time that I told myself that I could eat because of what I ate earlier this morning. So for dinner today I had yogurt and five pieces of cantolop. I was so hungry my stomach was making hungry noises. So when I got home I eat ice cream. I know it was stupid. I want to lose weight so bad. I am so young I need to be health. I have a hard time working now because of the fast pass of the job. I know that I can lose the weight but I don't know if I can do it in a healthy way. Does anyone know where I should start?

Hi Shana,
I'm very tired tonight so that my mind is not thinking very well. I'm sorry that I'm just now seeing this. I don't really have any answers for you, but I do know that others will be along shortly and hopefully they will be able to tell you something that will be of help. My first thought is that you should stock up in your home with only healthy foods and never bring other things like ice cream any where near your home. This is what I have to do because if those things are here, I can assure you that I will eat them and that's all I'll eat. I really believe that very small amounts of healthy foods every two hours, is the only answer for you and never get around any unhealthy sweets. Avoid them like the plague, for your life's sake. Other than that I would say for you to get as much sunshine and fresh air as possible. You may think that this has nothing to do with your problem, but I can assure you that it is very necessary to basic health, both mentally and physically.
I'm so glad that you came and posted this here and I hope that you'll continue to come and post more and more often. I just really believe that it will help you so much and that's because it always helps me so much.

Nina said some really good ideas. I know it is hard to eat healthy with a busy schedule and also when you are on a budget, like I am, but if you make a conscious effort to stay away from the trigger foods, like not having them available to you, and stock up on the healthy stuff, it would help you. Then you wouldn't have a need to feel guilty about what you ate and try to make up for it by not eating until you are starving. Then all reason goes out the window, I know... I have done it.... alot !!

Hon, it is just a day at a time with all of us, so just take it slow and work a little each day at improving your choices and your thinking.

Hugs

Thanks Kay and Pony. Getting the junk out is great. I got rid of everything but I do have to Reese cups left. I got fresh fruit and veg. at the store. My biggest thing is potions so I divided up my cereal and pretzels into serving sizes. that is where I am going to start. With a healthy breakfast and try that and see how that goes.

Thanks for the support I will be posting more. I need all the encouragement I can get.

I have found that once I start eating raw fruits & veggies, I lose interest in sweets & starch. It is the getting there that is the problem for me.
The only cereal I try to eat is LIFE cereal. It tastes wonderful & is good for you.
Popcorn air popped no salt or butter is also great! It adds fiber to your diet while being filling.
