They also have protein shakes / soy protein etc....but I think those are probably for those who need it more as a supplement (athletes, etc). -p

Thanks Peda,..... I am sorry Kermit, I saw your post this morning but had to go out to my daughter's soccer game and I didn't get back to the computer until now. Thanks Peda, I appreciate your help here. You are awesome.

I havent been in here in a while, but glad I came in this evening. I dont eat wheat and very little dairy, so I dont want to get all my protein from meat bc its hard on kidneys, which I already have issues with. So, I eat alot of black eyed peas, navy beans, soy, lima beans, egg whites, almonds, walnuts, spinach, and broccoli for protein. Let us know how its going kermit!

I got really sick last year b/c (among other things) my body was lacking significant amounts of protein. With my ED, I have a hard time eating any "unsafe" foods without purging. One of the best sources of protein I found was 0% Fage Greek Yogurt. One serving has 80 calories and THIRTEEN grams of protein... that's about three times the amount of protein in regular yogurt. It' sold in just about every supermarket in the city and in stores like Whole Foods everywhere else. Here's a link. http://fageusa.com/products.html |
