| Celebrating being a woman
Hi all Just wanted to share about how i am feeling just for today. Went shopping at the weekend and took along my fifteen year old daughter who i have to say has alot better judgement than me about clothes shopping. Anyhow we had a great day and i came away feeling fantastic (normally i come away feeling like crap not being able to find anything i like or i feel fits me properly - normally in black or brown). I came away with some lovely bright clothes in oranges and yellows, thing i would not normally consider wearing but i trust my daughters judgement when she said how good i looked and when i got ready for work this morining my hesband did a double take, he really liked what i am wearing. More than this i like what i am wearing so much so i even put on a little make up - something i don't normally do and i feel like a wonderful, attractive woman. I know this is just for today but hoorah for my sexy curves bought about by working the twelve steps and abstaining from compulsive eating behaviours one day at a time. True progress from someone who normally hides her body because of what attention it can attract from the opposite sex, its none of my business what they think lol. Lots of love xxxxxxxxx

So great to read your post, Biscuits. And how nice you went with your daughter and she helped you choose clothes. That sounds like a lot of fun. I think some people have a good influence on us when it comes to shopping. It's as if they draw what we need into our sphere or something. The clothes sound like pretty colors that brighten your spirit. When you wear them you can remember the nice time with your daughter, too. You have much to celebrate and thank you for sharing it with us. It helps me celebrate, too! :-) Nea (just back from long trip away) |

What a great post. I don't know how I missed it before. Thanks for sharing, biscuits. Isn't it so true that when you actually put effort into how you look, you feel better? When I feel better, I treat my body better. Thanks for the reminder=)
