Oatmeal Smoothie?

I looked in the recipe link and didn't see it...

But saw it in the food journal.

What is it? Sounds awful... but the addict in me is just dying to try it anyway.

Thanks!

Here's how I make mine

1. 1 c oatmeal
2. 1/2 c protein powder
3. 1 banana
4, 1 Bartlett pear
5. 1/4 c nuts
6. 1 bottle 12 oz - 16 oz very cold water

Blend in 2 liter blender until smooth.

Hi,
I'm not a regular here but when I saw the title included the word 'smoothie' I just had to drop in!
I make alot of smoothies but just toss in whatever I have around.
It might help to put the oatmeal in the blender first by itself to make it a finer texture.
For my favorite smoothies I keep over-ripe frozen bananas with the skins on in my freezer. They look awful but keep very well that way. I run water over the skins to remove them easily and then I add a little liquid, be it milk, soy milk or juice to thin it out plus some frozen berries tossed in for flavor. You could add some protein powder, but I don't.
It's really good with some chocolate syrup added

If you like smoothies, you should make a parfe (sp?) with Kashi cereal/trail mix. SOOOOO good. You could also use silken tofu (blended before) for extra protein.

Great ideas. Sounds delish and I want to try them. Got some plain yogurt to use, too. Thanks, all.
