My old standbys are yogurt and Austin peanut butter crackers. I certainly can relate to how you feel about the thought of the vending machines triggering you.

For me, the sugar sets me up for needing more sugar. But I CRAVE the sugar! So I tried some of the sugar free chocolate... dove, hershey and reeses. After giving up sugar, I think they taste wonderful! But WARNING... I can only eat about 3 or 4 before I get the ... uh.... "side effects" of sorbitol (sweetner used in these candies). Is your desk near a restroom? But the dove ones are absolutely ... decadent!
