| Time to Resurface
Hi all! I made an introduction and then disappeared. My husband was in between jobsites and we were able to travel home for the first time since last August. I must say it was great to be home, but very stressful. There were times it was impossible to stick to my food plan while traveling. I knew this was going to happen and I didn't beat myself up too bad. I didn't have a very hard time staying sober, in fact my six month anniversary is coming up soon. I had a very bad time with my food while at home though. I was able to recognize some triggers and the best thing I could have done was to write one evening when I was on the verge of slipping. I forced myself to work through those painful feelings and I survived! I am trying to settle in to a new place now. I am hoping tomorrow to sit in on an OA online meeting. I talked with my sponsor about all this and am also trying to do some OA reading. I noticed on another board a post about a relapse plan and I am going to try an come up with one. It looks like we will only be at this place for 4 - 6 weeks. That should give me enough time to be prepared. Looking forward to hear how everyone has been doing. |

Hey mom - Nice to hear from you. I think it is wonderful that we share our stuggles and or joys with each other. Stress, that is a biggie for me too! I am working on food issues with my NA sponsor (congrats on your 6 months by the way yahooo!!!). We are working the steps again and food keeps coming into my answers, I relapses a few years ago with food not drugs, interesting I think anyway. So I am starting again and it is great. REading literature and journaling is a great thing. I understand the difficulties that your lifestyle challenges you with, take it just one day at a time. Good to hear from you and hope you are around more often.
