I have been having such a hard time with my stomach since the beginning of the year. My Dr. prescribed Zantac which has helped alot with acid reflux, but lately I have been getting sick to my stomach alot. I can't really eat anything much, and the worst part is I'm not even losing any weight. I hate going to the Dr., but I guess I should go and tell her about all the nausea. I can only eat in small amounts, which is good, but even those small amounts leave me feeling bloated and overly-full, as though I'd stuffed myself. Arrrrgh. This is the first time in my life when I haven't been able to enjoy food, and I do enjoy food. I think eating tasty food is one of life's pleasures. Well, I just wanted to vent. Hope everyone here is o.k. Juls |

Hi, I sure can relate to all the tummy troubles. I have struggled with chronic stomach pain and bloating for decades. My doc put me on Aciphex which turns off the acid pumps in my stomach. It's the first time in years I've had relief. I hope you can find a solution to your problems. It sounds awful. We shouldn't have to suffer, I guess it's a matter of resolving to find the answer and sticking with it until you get what you need. Good luck, and I'll say a prayer for you. LPM |

Thanks IPM, I was talking to a friend today, she's one of these doomsday types, everything is always the worst, and she was telling me how it's going to take a long time to figure out what's wrong with me, I'll have to have all these awful tests, which may be true, but that kind of adivce I don't need. It's very unpleasant, but I don't think it can be too serious since I'm not losing any weight. I haven't heard of the medicine you mentioned, but I think they may start me on something called prilosec, which is probably similar. Juls |

Hi there Juls, I can sure understand how you feel about doctors. I usually only go if I'm "dying" (of course a figure of speach), but I too hate going. And although friends mean well, they're not doctors and you should probably go and find our for sure what could be happening. our bodies have thier ways of telling us that something is not right. When we don't listen to wat we're feeling or try to minimize what's really happening all because of fear, well that's when we pt purselves in bigger danger of something truely going wrong when it might have been treatable and stopped earlier. My thouhts ar with you and let us know what happens. Pony
