| Movie.........
There was a movie on Lifetime tonight..... "to be Fat like me" it was sponsored by Jenny Craige.......... I was wondering if any of you watched it and what you thought of it. Me: I did watch it and thought it was very well done. It triggered some memories for me and brought about some realizations for me also. Before I go more into it, I want to get my thoughts about it clear in my head and then share them. but I also would like to hear from many of you who watched and what your reactions to this movie is. thanks

Hey Pony Yes I watched it. My reaction to it well I am not sure. I think it was a true account of things that go on in high school when you are overweight. It brought memories back to me, too. I weigh a little less than I did in high school but I am still overweight. I think the world thinks that alot of people that are overweight are lazy and that is not true. That is maybe and I say maybe a very small percent. love, Shana

So, Shana, we are the only two that watched that movie....????...wow Yes, it had alot of triggers of memories for me as well. Not just from school but from everyday life out there. The attitude that was depicted on that film was very true to what I have encountered, as I am sure most have, out there in the general public. NO there were no clear cut answers to the problem in the movie....but it was good at expressing the need for tolerance by others, education and understanding for the issues faced by overweight people, but also a little awareness for ourselves, because I think many overweight, me included, get our own attitude about it and others as well. I learned some things from this movie also, which is our own outlooks and attitude can hold ourselves down and put ourselves in victim position. We don't have to accept what others throw at us.... figuratively speaking of course. We have to have pride in ourselves and love and accept us for who we are inside as well as outside......but it is hard, like what the girl had said, when all of society tells you that you are not worth anything and so on.
