Thank you so much Pony for the award !!! I didn't even realize that it had been 100 days that I've been sugar free. I do feel so extremely physically and mentally better without the sugar in my life. Now if I can just keep myself abstinent from other unhealthy foods too, I'll really be feeling tons better even than this. Thanks more than I can say for your encouragement and all of the sweet things that you said about me. You're such a good friend. I couldn't do this without you.

And Teach, I want to thank you too, for the encouraging compliment !!!! I can sure use that encouragement lately. I'm a little down in the dumps today, but seeing this has really helped more than I can say.
((((((((((((((HUGS to both of you, Pony & Teach))))))))))))))

Hi Nina. My name is Sharon and Im an alcoholic.

I wanted to say congratulations to u for being 100 day sugar free.

Just like Pony, I dont know ur story either. It's kinda neat as i just randomly clicked on Pony's post a little earlier and shared a little to her and from her it led me to you.

2 new friends in sober recovery today ...WOW... : )

Anyway....thank you for being an inspiration to me today. : )

For me, ive never went cold turkey from sugar before. However i have learned a few things over the yrs after listening to a Dr. Phil show one time. He had his wife Robin on there explaining about managing weight and things that women should watch for as they get older. She made a list and i wrote it down and have it stashed away somewheres....like its really gonna do me good hidden away like that...lol Anyway...she did say she cut out all the sugar in her diet and it made a big difference in the way she was feeling.

I don't eat a whole lot of sugar but the carbs are just as dangerous. If i allowed myself to let go I could eat my weight in gold with pasta, rice and beans. Being Italian we learn how to eat hearty. Breads, pasta, rice...i guess with a large family cooking things that stretch was the way to go.

anyway....over the yrs ive had to change the way i eat mainly because my metabolism has slowed down. Its amazing that 2 yrs ago i was able to wear a pair of jeans comfortably and now....just with in those 2 yrs i cant get the weight off and cant wear jeans. It's all gone to my tush. : ) Then u hear that that a good asset.

lol...ive had the caboose all my life...id be happy to get rid of it. : )

Anyway....at 47, im jogging now....s-l-o-w-l-y....lol its like i jog in place around a 2 mile track....i get around it but s-l-o-w-l-y..... lol

When i have a caboose that bounces everytime my foot hits the ground...well.....it aint pretty...lol im so worn out by the end....lol

Anyway.....Im just glad im sober today. : )

I hope u continue to share and maybe i will get to know ur story as days go by.

A new friend in recovery.

Nina Kay,

Congratulations on receiving this wonderful award for 100 continuous days abstaining from the obvious sweets. It is a remarkable achievement and an inspiration to all of us that we have the power inside of us, to make the changes we need to make, to have the kind of lives that will make us happy, joyous and free of addictions.

Your experience, strength and hope jhas served you, me and others very well, and your service work through the PNP and 100 day threads is terrific.

Keep it up and stay strong!!!!!!!!!!!
