I always stayed away from gambling because I was afraid of getting "hooked", meanwhile, I just kept abusing drugs morning, noon, and night, being happy I didn't have "one of those gambling problems".

I score a 6 out of ten. I played poker online, now just in real life. Is it a gambling problem if you have a positive expectation and make money? Over the course of 2 years I played over 300,000 hands of No Limit Texas Holdem....but also made a nice chunk of change. I never play any casino games because the house has an edge. I have an edge in poker, because I studied so hard to learn the game and apply my knowledge. I quit playing online because it ate up too much of my time. I also only like to play cards with people who know how to play cards, and to play for buy ins over $50 to weed out the riff-raff. Skill based games arent as fun any more unless A) Its for money B) I believe I have an advantage. Obsessive hobby, or addiction? |

I scored a 2. I have not been gambling in a year. The last time before that was a year and a half. I would guess I have been gambling probably 12 times in the last 15 years. And I have a problem? I think not, not with gambling.
