Death

I dreamed death came to me one night,
And heaven's gates flew open wide,
With kindly Grace St.Peter came and ushered me inside.
There to my astonishment were friends i had known earth,
Some i had labelled as unfit,
And some off little worth.
Indignant words flew to my lips,
Words i could not set free,
For ever face showed stunned surprise,
For no one expected me...

Yes
Many will be shocked by who is there and more will be shocked because "they" didn't make it.

Matthew 7

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!

heaven

It's good to know that our loving Lord Jesus provided a way for us to escape such a fate! I am thankful that knowing Him and accepting His gift is soooo much more than "fire insurance." He is my friend, brother, Savior and Lord, advocate and the Living Word. I could not make it through without Him!
Thinking of heaven really puts things into a different perspective!!
Pray for those who are in need of salvation!

grasshopper,
Hopefully, alot of old friends who finally meet 'up stairs' will be so startled to see each other and rejoice "I am so glad you made it!"
I know that I have been pleasantly surprised when at a reunion of friends, family or schoolmates at how many have found their way to God. Amazingly they found Him without any 'help' from me! lol (disclaimer- I do witness but usually am not one to unless asked)
Being a Christian from an early age- perhaps there will be more than I expected of those with whom I have shared the gospel.
