Scripture that gets me through hard times

When I want to use I find this scripture speaks to me so I thought I'd share with you. It's from Luke Chapter 22. This is the New American Bible

39 Then going out he went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. 40 When he arrived at the place he said to them, "Pray that you may not undergo the test." 41 After withdrawing about a stone's throw from them and kneeling, he prayed, 42 saying, "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." 43 14 (And to strengthen him an angel from heaven appeared to him. 44 He was in such agony and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.)

This always reminds me of the human side of Jesus. The side that goes through the feelings I do when I want to use, but know that the cup of soberness is what the Lord wants for me, no matter how hard the urges to use get. Also, when going through really bad times, I have prayed with that extreme sweat.

And we are given the same...strength from above when we ask.

I Love that verse from Luke 22:42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, not my will but yours be done." It truly does help me to realte to Jesus in a human way. I think of that verse a lot when going through lifes trials. Thanks for sharing that.

After Lazarus was laid in the tomb....
verse 33
"He was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled."

This one helps me alot because of His compassion. I also think that Jesus was thinking and feeling about the time when He would be in a tomb and those who loved Him would mourn- also not knowing that there would be a resurrection. His focus was on them and their emotional pain.
It makes me realize how He cares for my own feelings, trials and troubles.
