| Prayer for the Addicted
I found this prayer through the Companions of St. Anthony. God of mercy, we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministers to all who come to Him. Give your strength to (name of person), one of your children, enfold him/her in your love and restore him/her in your love and restore him/her to the freedom of God's children. Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, strengthen them in the work of recovery, and help them to resist all temptation. To those who care for them, grant patience and understanding and a love that perseveres. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen There are times I am at a loss on how to pray for a friend. I especially need to pray for their freedom and patience for the co-dependent. Love you all, Bev |

Bev What a wonderful prayer. I am often at a loss for words to express to God my prayers, and even though I know that He knows, it helps ME to be able to put the words with the plea. I am going to print this one out to carry with me. Thank you.

Pickle - thank you so much for posting this prayer. I find it hard to know exactly what to say when praying for my partner, and this will really help me. I'm glad to see you back again - you've been missed Love and hugs. |
