I hear "resist the devil and he will flee from you" alot. But we first need to "submit yourselves therefore to God"! When we submit our will to God it is easy to resist the devil so he will flee!!!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by sucha huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.
