.....Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you. -John 5:14

1John: "5 God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. 6 So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness. We are not living in the truth. 7 But if we are living in the light of God's presence. just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, clenses us from every sin."

| For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. -- Ephesians 1:4-5 |

| Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. -- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 |

| Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. -- Ephesians 6:11 The devil will try to use our weaknesses against us and take advantage of our vulnerability. We need all the protection we can get to withstand the enemy. |

| For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. -- Ephesians 6:12 |

I am so thankful there are Christians who know this cross I bare. I have heard the voice of the Holy Spirit and have chosen to sin anyway. God is still chasing after me and yet I run from him still. The enemy has me convinced I am not worthy. I allow it and this is what perpetuates my bondage. I have not sought him and read his word. I am so scared of the Lord who I know is good. My favorite verse is "but for the Grace of God therefore I go" I know this is trurth because I would be dead or have gotten the life I deserve. I am so confused right now and have not been able to achieve any real length of sobriety. I keep on failing and I do it when the fear consumes me. I know fear is not of God but I do not feel that way and I have made my life worse since I began to get sober. Can anyone share with me how and why they finally surrendered. I am so scared to be honest with myself and turn from my sin because it is all I feel I am. I have so much guilt and have been willfully disobediant my whole life. I have lived this way for so long that I know nothing else. I know God has allowed me to reach this low point so I will come to him. Why can I not trust in him.

Humble yourselves before God. Resist the Devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

| For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. -- 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 |

Father, my tomorrows all rest in your hands. I ask that I can be useful to you today; courageous enough not to worry about tomorrow, and loyal enough to not waver in my love for you and my commitment to you. In Jesus' name. Amen. |

For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. -- Romans 8:3-4 |
