I was just looking at this verse again Sis..and it always amazes me that it does not

say that "pure and undefiled religion" is going to church, studying the Word, giving

tithes..although these necessary things are mentioned elsewhere in the Bible.

It echoes what Christ said in Matthew 25:40,

"Just as you did it to the least of these my children, you did it unto me."

"and to keep oneself unstained by the world"

This part seemed to pop out at me because as I see it....serving God also means that it's also my job to keep myself free from known sin _as_ a part of my service to others. In other words...if I am to be a living witness I need to be sure to represent the holiness of God to the best of my ability. That takes balance and tons of humility, willingness & honesty.
