Merry Christmas everyone. Thank you for sharing your heart with others. You've all added so much warmth to this forum this year. May God bless you all. Hugs, MG <body bgcolor="#0000FF" text="#000000" link="#FF0000"vlink="#FFFF00" alink="#00FF00"> <bgsound src="http://wilstar.com/xmas/midi/olittletown.mid">

<table border="0" bgcolor="#B1D1F5" bordercolor="#8AB9E3"ceilingspacing="10">

The story of Christmas comes from the Bible. Here is the way it is told by Saint Luke: And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone around about them; and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
O Little Town of Bethlehem O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie; Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight. For Christ is born of Mary; And gathered all above, While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wondering love. O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth; And praises sing to God, the King. And peace to men on earth. How silently, how silently The wondrous gift is given! So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heaven.. No ear may hear His coming, But in this world of sin, Where meek souls will receive Him, still, The dear Christ enters in. O holy Child of Bethlehem, Descend to us, we pray; Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be born in us today. We hear the Christmas angels, The great glad tidings tell; O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel. |
