Taking our thoughts captive

Right before Christmas I was struggling BIG time w/ a problem I had w/ someone and I could not get it out of my head. So I googled take every thought captive and came across this article.

It has REALLY helped me soooo much. There is a little chart in the beginning of it and I printed out the chart and made mulitple copies and pasted them around my house, (in kitchen where I do dishes, etc.) and it had REALLY changed my thinking!

I now know that most all of my problems started in my mind with a single thought....then I would dwell, and dwell...whether it be using, etc.

God is setting me FREE! I want to share this with you all.

there are 2 columns, if you find your thinking in the devil or flesh side, ask the Lord to help to move you back to his side.

My husband is even doing it now!!!

I am trying to teach my 8 yr old son this way of thinking too! I gave a copy to my 23 yr old son last week and told him I wish I had raised him this way. he told me he read it in the kitchen while staying here last month while we were on vaca and he really liked it.

Taking Every Thought Captive

Since I found this chart almost 2 months ago it has really changed my way of thinking. It really is getting easier and easier to catch the thoughts quicker. God is so good!

Thanks for posting this, Lily. I've been having a lot of panic attacks and am overcome with anxiety and depression. so much that I hadn't been to church in over a month til Sunday. I told a couple of women what I was feeling and they reminded me that anxiety and fear are of the devil.

I've been feeling a bit better since and working on casting off the negative thoughts.
