I think I do

I am a christian. I accepted at 8 and rededicated at 17. I am very active in my church and play the gutar in the worship service... You know... yada yada yada... But some how I have started questioning my faith in Him. Any advice?

Hi lurkings,

I've learned along the way to wrestle with my questions in front of God, but not to wrestle with God over my questions and doubts.

I went through a few years with God leading where I questioned everything I believed in. All the rugs got pulled out from under me and the faith that I gained through that cannot be shaken. It was very frightening when I went through it. I thought I was crazy most of the time. How could everything I always believed about God be so false?

I kept asking God my questions and kept reading the bible and kept going to the next step. God led the way and I kept asking. He kept answering and worked His word in me. After each step I gained new faith. We go from faith to faith to faith.....

I think it's ok to ask questions as long as we wait on God for the answers. Being honest with God is always good. He knows what's in our heart before we tell him.

My advice would be to go to God and tell him exactly how you feel and wait on Him for all the answers. He will not fail you.

Talk about it if you want to.

Hugs,
MG

I SO agree with Morning Glory!!! When I was shaken I was told BE HONEST with God. I know, He knows everything BUT to actually say it with your mouth, to actually make that effort to SEEK Him is what He wants and requires. Waiting for God to show Himself to you is also a key step. The Word, is our Sword use that daily. He will answer FAITHFULLY!!!!

I think it really all goes back to why we were created. When we realize that it's not about us but us glorifing Him for everything then we are doing what we are suppose to do and he will

Thanks for your responses!!!

Actually I decided to go seek a therapist not too long ago because of depression and such. I was talking to this fellow and I didn't feel right with him so I found a new lady. Super nice!!! I talked to her for the first time yesterday and I feel so much better. For a long time I didn't think God was behind any of this and I have really been praying about what was going on with me. I think God really lead me to her by one of my friends. I am feeling much better by God and I understand what you mean by little steps! Thank you!!!!

Hi lurkings I am glad your feeling better and your right about the feelings of depression they can really start to give you a lot of ill feelings. Ya know what I found is that the enemy is going to try to ruin our testamony with every tool in the arsenol because we are trying to live by faith do gods will and allow God to be glorified When I was not doing these things the enemy went to someone else the battle is always faught where it can do the most damage so keep the faith and give the battle to god and meditate on his word day and night and may he form a hedge of protection around you always. (((((((((HUGS))))))))) Steve
